Learning Objectives:

Opening:
1. Turn in Reading Simulation Corrections and Class Notebooks

2. Examine "Sergeant Stubby: War Hero" pages 24-28.  

  • Review each paragraph and take turns "thinking aloud" through each option.
I will return your notebooks tomorrow.  Please Review the Final Revision Passage and Questions


Work Period:

3. Go to SBD 2.5, create a sticky note with you and your partner's names
4. Read the introduction: "The Effect of Advertising on Consumers"
  • Mark it up

5. Respond to #1

6. Shared reading of #2

7. Join your larger Pod for a discussion around #1.  Try using the phrases given online.

8. With your partner, complete #3, #4, #5, #6 and #7.  This is really just a lot of ways to connect to the ideas behind advertising directed at an audience.

9. Large group discussion - what can celebrities have such a large influence on consumer choices.
