Opening:
1. Review "The Southpaw"
  • What is does Letter Format mean?
  • Who are the two characters?  How do you know?
2. Reread the remainder of the poem silently to yourself.  

Work Period:
3. Rotate through the literacy centers as assigned, following the directions as well as you can.  Take your time at each and really understand what is being asked.
