3. Write the definition of SHORT STORY in your journal.


4. Cross out the "Before Reading" prompt.

5. Examine the "After Reading" prompts on 79 and 80

  • Dialogue (#1 and #2)
  • Conflict and Resolution (#3 and #4)

6. Reread "Eleven" and mark the text

  • All Conflicts Great and Small
7.  Complete #1-3 in small groups or independently when you are done reading.
